Alkaline Foods

To achieve the acid/alkaline balance in the body
we should consume a 80/20 mix of alkaline/acid foods.
Another method to help alkalize your body is to drink alkaline water.

 


Examples of alkaline foods


VEGETABLES:
Wheatgrass, alfalfa, barley, grass, asparagus, broccoli, beet, celery, carrot, cauliflower, cucumber, garlic, mushrooms, sprouted pulses, onion, eggplant, lettuce, peas, pepper, pumpkin, etc.

FRUITS:
Apple, apricot, avocado, banana, cherries, grapes, grape fruit, watermelon, peach, pear, pineapple, orange, lemon, tomato, etc.

PROTEINS:
Almonds, chestnuts, chicken breast, eggs, flaxseeds, whey protein, yoghurt, cottage cheese, etc.

SPICES:
Chilies, pepper, cinnamon, ginger, mustard, etc.

OTHERS:
Apple cider vinegar, bee pollen, green tea, ginseng tea, herbal tea, etc.

ALKALINE WATER:
This type of water has a higher pH level than does tap water. Some proponents say that alkaline water can neutralize acid in your bloodstream, boost your energy level and metabolism, and help your body absorb nutrients more effectively. Others say that alkaline water can help you resist disease and slow the aging process.

ACIDIC FOODS:
Include red meat, fish, lobsters, turkey, olive oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, corn oil, white bread, rice, cashew nuts peanuts, soya beans, butter, soy milk, black beans, kidney beans, beer, hard liquor, wine, etc.
